  • Classroom Spotlight: Lower School Math Mornings Classroom Spotlight: Lower School Math Mornings
    Parents and guardians stepped into Kindergarten through Second Grade classrooms last week for Math Mornings. Adult visitors experienced the hands-on learning students do with math games and activities, led by teachers and Lower School STEM Dean Cathy Hamblet. Guests also learned some games to play with their children at home. This opportunity provided a space for students to demonstrate their math learning and growth to their loved ones and build connections inside and outside of the classroom.   • Classroom Spotlight: Tasty Creations in Middle School Visual Arts Classroom Spotlight: Tasty Creations in Middle School Visual Arts
    Middle School Art students in Rebecca Pleasure’s class explore clay, felt, and papier-mâché to learn how different materials shape the creative process. Each medium presents its own challenges and possibilities, helping students strengthen problem-solving skills while discovering new techniques and aesthetic choices.
     
    Their work draws inspiration from Pop Artists such as Claes Oldenburg, Lucy Sparrow, Andy Warhol, and Mechelle Bounpraseuth. The resulting projects are bold, imaginative, and a feast for the eyes.
  • Upper School Student-Led Clubs Are Blazing Trails Upper School Student-Led Clubs Are Blazing Trails
    Upper School student-led clubs have been blazing trails on campus, in Seattle, and nationally! Last Saturday, March 14, the Bush Robotics team competed at the Washington V5RC High School State Championship. . Congratulations!  On Thursday, March 12, Astronomy Club students, led by Anisha B. ’27,  about what is visible in the night sky in March. Keith is an astronomer, a board member of the Seattle Astronomical Society, and a NASA Solar System Ambassador responsible for astronomy advocacy in the Seattle area.
     
    On Tuesday, March 17, Banned Book Club leaders Samuel C. ’27 and Kate O. ’27 organized a MisInfo Day event for the entire Upper School. Samuel and Kate presented on a collaborative puzzle activity they had planned. After, advisories joined together to spot AI-generated images, spot misinformation in graphs, and complete the escape-room-style challenge.
     
    Students in the Amnesty International Club traveled to Washington, D.C. earlier this month for the Amnesty International Human Rights Conference, meeting with club leaders and activists from across the nation.
     
    Students in DECA, a business and leadership competition and club, have had a successful season, Lulu S.-Z. ‘27, Makenna K. ‘27, Sabrina N. ‘27, and Masha K. ‘27 recently participated in the Washington State-level Career Development Conference and competition. Lulu's outstanding performance in the Personal Finance Literacy Category qualified her for the National-level Conference. 
     
    Bush Model United Nations recently had sixteen Upper School students participate in the SeattleMUN 2026 conference with Jack S. ’27, Eva V. ’27, and Jason C. ’27, receiving award recognition for their performances, bringing their club award count to six for the year. They will be competing at KINGMUN on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19.

    Congratulations to the cast and crew of A Midsummer Night’s Dream on an incredible opening night! This Middle and Upper School combined production was full of laughs, joy, and incredible performances. Way to go, Blazers! 


  • Help Keep Sparky鈥檚 Grill Fired Up 鈥� We Need You! Help Keep Sparky鈥檚 Grill Fired Up 鈥� We Need You!
    Upper School volleyball matches have begun and on and we need your help to make match days great!

    Sparky’s Grill, our concession stand, plays a big role in supporting our athletic programs, and we’re looking for parent and guardian volunteers to help keep it running smoothly throughout the season.
    Our goal is to have Sparky’s open for all Upper School home volleyball games, and we need two adult volunteers per game to make that possible. We’ve made it easy for families to jump in:
    • Shifts are just ninety minutes
    • A staff member from Sage Dining will be on-site to help each night
    This is a fun, easy way for parents and guardians from all grade levels to support the student-athlete experience - even if your child isn’t playing in a game that night. Every dollar raised helps fund the athletics department. Volunteering at Sparky’s is a great chance to meet other families, show your school spirit, and make a real impact.

    We’ve created a to make it simple to choose a shift that works for you. Families often volunteer during games when their child isn’t playing, but all are welcome to help—no matter what grade your child is in.

    Thank you for helping to build a strong and spirited community. We look forward to seeing you at the matches—and at Sparky’s Grill!

  • Bush Faculty Awarded for Artistic Achievements

    This Faculty and Staff Appreciation Week, we are proud to share two incredible honors that reflect the passion, creativity, and dedication our educators bring to The 糖心vlog官网 every day.

    Lower School music teacher Juliana Cantarelli Vita has been named a 2026 Music Educator Award Quarterfinalist by the GRAMMY Museum and Recording Academy, while Upper School English Teacher Molly Olguín has been selected as one of just five writers nationwide to receive the 2025 Jack Hazard Fellowship from the New Literary Project.

    Both of these recognitions celebrate what we at Bush see every day—teachers who spark joy, challenge students to think deeply, and model what it means to pursue one’s passions with purpose. Read below about their accomplishments.

  • Varsity Boys Golf Wins WIAA 1A Golf State Championship

    Congratulations to the Boys Golf team on their win as the WIAA 1A Golf State Champions! 
    Representing the Blazers were Justin C. ’28, Aydin M. ’29, Jonathan H. ’28, and Neil N. ’28, as well as Meredith C. ’26, who medaled in Ninth Place in the Girls State Championships. 
     
    The Golf Team’s trip to the State Championships was nothing short of historic. The Blazers opened the tournament in spectacular fashion, with four golfers advancing to day two and the boys team building a commanding fifteen-stroke lead after the opening round.
     
    The momentum carried into the final round, where the Blazers secured the program’s first boys golf state championship in more than twenty-five years.
     

  • Blazers Bound: Five Seniors Sign to Compete in College Athletics

    In front of family, friends, teammates, and coaches, five Bush student-athletes were celebrated on Thursday, May 7 for their dedication, growth, and commitment to continue their athletic journeys at the collegiate level.
     
    College Athlete Signing Day is a meaningful milestone in the life of our school, one that reflects not only athletic achievement, but perseverance, teamwork, and a deep love of the game.

  • Volunteer or Nominate! Families Association President-Elect

    The 糖心vlog官网 Families Association (FA) is excited to announce that an open call is live for the FA President-Elect position for the 2026-2027 school year. The two-year term provides candidates with a rewarding and exciting opportunity to volunteer alongside fellow parents, faculty, staff, and administration in building community within Bush’s K-12 program.
     
    This is a two-year commitment; the President-Elect will shadow the 2026-2027 FA President for one year, and then move into the President position for the 2027-2028 school year. The FA is now actively seeking volunteers and nominations for the 2026-2027 FA President-Elect role.
